In a televised interview on Sunday, Vice President Dick Cheney said that the fact that there has not been a terrorist attack since September 11, 2001 shows that the Bush administration has done a "pretty good job" protecting the country against terrorists. Cheney also defended the Iraq war, saying that the world is better off today with Saddam Hussein out of power. Democrats countered that the country is now less safe as a result of the administration's Iraq war policy. (AP)
