A poll released this week showed that U.S. voters' support for stem cell research jumped 5 percentage points after they viewed a television ad in which actor Michael J. Fox - afflicted by Parkinson's disease - states his support for candidates who favor the research. Missouri voters will head to the polls in November to vote on a proposed state constitutional amendment to protect the research from legislative restrictions. (Reuters)
